Portuguese Fava Beans

First  I soaked the dried, shelled fava beans over night. Then boiled them till soft. Couldn't find canned fava beans. 


Sauteed onions and garlic



Stirred onion, garlic, parsley, tomato sauce, red pepper flakes, and water into the beans. Add salt & pepper as you like. Let it simmer to bond flavors.


Mine looks much different than the canned bean version but I still like it! First time I ate fava beans. Has an earthy taste. Good fall flavor.


I was hoping someone would bring me Chianti and their brainz, but no such luck.
